Strollers
Strollers are a rite of passage—right up there with car seats.
You’ll love them at times and curse them at others. Especially when your child insists on being carried while you push the very tool designed to carry them. But that’s parenting.
As with everything on this site, the focus here is on quality. Sure, there are cheaper options out there—but I’ve narrowed it down to the strollers that are no-brainers in my mind: durable, safe, and built to make your life easier.
We’ve gone through multiple strollers over the years—twins definitely add a layer of complexity—and with my wife being a serious runner, we needed both durability and real-world functionality.
In the early days, a traditional stroller was essential. As the kids got older, we gradually transitioned to our jogging stroller as the primary option. Still, having both was key: the traditional stroller stayed at home and traveled well around town thanks to its compact fold, while the jogger handled active outings with ease.
The traditional stroller I recommend is part of a modular system—it’s been time-saving, game-changing, and adds an extra layer of safety that I think really matters.

Top Choices
Jogger: Thule
Daily Use: Uppa Baby, MESA Infant Car Seat compatible with the stroller
Double Joggers: BOB Double or Thule Double
Just a quick heads-up: When you buy through the links on this site, we may earn a small commission. That’s what helps keep this blog running. A portion of those earnings also goes to our favorite charities that support children and families, so every purchase is a win/win/win in my book. Thanks for being part of it.
Jogging: Thule Urban Glide
We had a Thule for our first—it was an earlier version of this model, a bit bulkier with a full cabin-style setup. Thule always makes me laugh a little because so many people use their gear just to shuttle back and forth from their local REI to buy more gear. But don’t let that fool you—Thule builds rock-solid gear designed for serious adventure. That’s their DNA.
All of our friends had this jogging stroller too, including several serious runners, and honestly, I don’t think there’s another real contender in this category. If you’re looking for a jogging stroller, this is the one.
Daily Use: UPPA Baby Vista
We had the UPPAbaby Vista paired with the Mesa Infant Car Seats, and it was a total game changer—especially thanks to the modular setup. The ability to easily click car seats into bases made day-to-day life so much smoother, and that's exactly why this is my top recommendation.
My wife absolutely loved our UPPAbaby. She was genuinely heartbroken when we eventually passed it on to friends. And we didn’t baby this thing—we used it hard: multiple rumble seats, the bassinet, even the rider board so our third could stand while we pushed all three kids at once.
This type of stroller is an absolute necessity in those early years. Durable, flexible, and thoughtfully designed—it really held up to the chaos of real family life. I would buy some extra bases for multiple cars.
Double: BOB or Thule
We had the Double BOB stroller for our twins, and we really liked it. It’s built like a tank—solid, durable, and equipped with a hand brake, which came in handy more than once. Once it's moving, it glides effortlessly, and it even handled a few road races with no problem.
I’d put the Thule in the same category—both are excellent jogging strollers. Honestly, the choice between them may just come down to style or brand preference. You’ll be happy with either.
